Peoples Anonymous Movement

Our vision for Peoples Anonymous is for the gatherings/meetings to become a thousand points of light throughout our world.

In each city on our planet a place where all are welcome who are sincerely interested in coming up a little higher and finding a more beautiful and powerful way of living through the application of the spiritual principles inherent in the Healing Twelve-Step movement.

Peoples Anonymous proposes that anyone can significantly improve the quality of his or her life by applying the spiritual principles of the Twelve-Step Recovery Program originally given to the world by Alcoholics Anonymous in 1935.

You need not be an alcoholic or an addict to experience a powerful spiritual awakening. With this recipe for healing, radical transformation is now within your reach, no matter your current challenges or what point you’re starting from.

Peoples Anonymous has come to the world to help remove all degrees of separation in the twelve-step movement of transformation. Prior to PA, one could gain access to the twelve steps through a variety of different special interest groups. As beautiful and powerful as these individual gatherings are, they were born in an atmosphere of separation, believing they needed to identify with a specific form of dis-ease for healing.

PA proposes we all struggle with some form of the human condition and we are all in this together. Our interests do not lie separate nor does our Healing.

The Twelve Steps of Peoples Anonymous

We admitted we were powerless—that our lives had become unmanageable.

We came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.

We made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood Him.

We made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves.

We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs.

We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character.

We humbly asked Him to remove our shortcomings.

We made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.

We made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.

We continued to take personal inventory, and when we were wrong we promptly admitted it.

We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, as we understood Him, praying only for knowledge of His will for us and the power to carry that out.

Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to others and to practice these principles in all our affairs.
